Pressies ten-a-side

Tuesday 22 August 2017

These guys know how to enjoy themselves........

After being passed the day by Kura four or five weeks prior, they managed to pull more than the proverbial rabbit out of the hat. The half field format went down a treat with the bigger boys in the teams, with the conditions and small field not allowing an expansive game. This format could be the way for the future if pressies is to continue. Good to see Tuakau in again and great to welcome East Tamaki to Drury.

The day had the feel of touch finals with teams spread around, cooking up and rehydrating.

Winners on the day were Weymouth who sneaked past Puke in the final. Weymouth also took out the boat race and the award for the most dificult erection. (their tent).

The day was the end to a very successful and enjoyable year for the Drury Pressies, Looking forward to 2018.

There is talk of a game against the 85's and Counties Teachers in the coming weeks, so keep an ear open and an eye tuned.

Get well soon Caveman.
