The month is nearly over, and what an enjoyable month it has been at the club. Between the Junior Club and the Pressies team things have been pretty busy. And without the dissappointments associated with senior football, been having a bit of fun.

The juniors have been holding their Wedsnesday get togethers as well as a recent Saturday night Blackout evening and have the club hopping. Great to see so many involved. May meen that some kids will play senior footy down here when they are ready.

Last weekend saw the Pat Yates trophy game played between Rewa and Drury take place on a very heavy pitch. The 12 a side game was a great spectacle, with running rugby being the order of the day. Great skill shown by both teams despite the conditions. Thanks to Deno and the Rewa boys and thank you to those that hopped outside their comfort zones and fronted for Drury.

Rewa have their own Golden Oldies tournament on Sunday July 15 with an 11.00am start. It would be great if we could get a team together for that one, always a good day. Let me know if you are available.

The Pressies had their second to last home game as well on Saturday against Tuakau. Tuakau turned up with good numbers and with the field chopped up from the previous game, played some sensible rugby to put the Drury boys under real pressure. Players were unrecognisable by games end, well done to referee Bryan for his efforts. For those that dallyed to long in the shed, sorry about the cold shower.

A great game and a great aftermatch, with everyone enjoying the warm fire, the great food from the kitchen and the company of each other. What rugby is really all about.

Well done by Liz in the bar for looking after a sizeable crowd on her own.

This Friday is our second club night, come on down and have a beverage and burger.

Friday the 15th will see the Boys Night Fundraser being held. Always a good show so get your tickets early.

This weekend the Pressies are away to Te Kohanga and the Junior Teams (to many to list) draw is on another page of this web site. So get out and catch a game.

All the best
