PAT YATES MEMORIAL MATCH

Thursday 09 June 2016

What a great turnout for our club night last week. Thank you to all those that popped in, I'm sure you had as an enjoyable time as I did. The next one will be on the 1st of July, so keep it free and hope to see you there.

In the meantime the club has something special for your rugby entertaiment.

The next big day for the senior side of the club is on the 25th June....this being the Pat Yates memorial game..... held between Manurewa and Drury. There will be an "old boys" game to remember a special man who had an influence on the lives of players through playing and coaching rugby at the two clubs.

The game is scheduled to kick off at midday and will act as the curtain raiser to the Drury v Tuakau pressies game at 1.00pm.

So clean up those boots and drag your self down for a run a round of some description, you know you want to.

There will of course be an after match, where the bar and kitchen staff will be thanked and the game of two halves discussed at length..... and a trophy presented.

But most of all memories will be shared, stories told and a great man remembered.
