WAIUKU TOO TOUGH

Sunday 20 March 2016

It was a tough Saturday at the Drury domain. We thought we had a good shot in both games but neither team was able to produce on the day. The waiuku loosies showed us their skills and turned over the ball at what seemed every second breakdown and starved Drury of possesion in both games. Neither game was a true reflection of the scorelines with the reserves going down 30-7 and the prems 36-0.

A good crowd in attendance and an enjoyable aftermatch. Player of the day for the reserves was Soape (he also got the only card) and for the Prems it was Nela.

Plenty to work on ahead of the Easter weekend clash with TeKauwhata away on Saturday.

Te k are coming off two big losses for their teams last weekend so expect fireworks. Drury were unable to beat Te k last year in four encounters, but this is a better Drury team. Looking forward to it.........1.00pm for Reserves and 2.45 for Prems at Te Kauwhata.

Great to see the Chiefs get up in the dying minutes of their game on Sunday in Argentina. The crowd was going nuts when it looked like a home team victory, and i am sure i saw a fat lady singing in the stands. She was silenced, as was everone else, with that final try. Awesome.

Go the mighty Chiefs and ''Drury Drury Drury''

See you Saturday if not before.
