The div 2 final at the stadium on Saturday was a beaut, if you were a Drury supporter - of which there were many. Great support from the stands from a number of faces that aren't seen enough in the club on a saturday afternoon.

Played on a super fast track the game wasn't the try fest Drury was after with a number of breaks being covered by the Weymouth defence and with just one try a piece it came down to the boot of Brett Dahlkamp to get Drury home with a 100 pecent record. As happened last year. Weymouth couldn't convert their chances into points, with one penalty sliding under the cross bar and another hitting it. A large part of the second half saw Drury attacking the Weymouth line, being held up over the line or just coming up short on several occasions. If just one of those opportunities was converted the game may have opened up but as it turned out, with only five poins in it with twenty to go, it was not to be.

The  Drury forwards played well and dominated the tight with Sio Finau taking the ball up hard. Great support from the tight five and a man of the match performance from number 7 Toni Kautai saw Drury enjoy a territorial advantage in the second half. Not many missed tackles and converting territory into points got Drury home 16-8.

Logans nose needs fixing and Ray lost his medal but otherwise Drury Drury Drury.

The after match back at the club, which combined with the Drury netball social, ensured most had a night they will never remember.
